Golden Temple:

Amritsar is the home to Golden Temple which is considered as a pilgrimage place for not only for Sikhs but for people of every religion. It is most important tourist attractions of India after Taj Mahal in Agra. This temple is the spiritual center for the Sikhs and around one million visitors visit this temple every year. This temple is also called as Harmandir Saheb which means 'Temple Of God'. The Golden Temple houses the Darbar Sahib, which is the holiest shrine for Sikhs. It is believed that every Sikh should visit this place at least once in hisher life.

Jallianwala Bagh:

It is a garden where the infamous Jallianwala Bagh massacre took place in 1919 during English regime. The British troops on the order of Brigadier-General Reginald Dyer, opened fired at the people who were gathered there to attend a peaceful meeting. There were around 400 dead and around 1000 were injured. In order to save their life some people jumped into a nearby well and consequently died.

Wagah Border:

This border is situated on the western part of Punjab. It is the official border line between India and Pakistan. Everyday flag hoisting sessions are held at sunrise followed by cultural programs on the both sides of the border.
