His speed earned some positive comments from quarterback Patrick Mahomes, but speed alone won’t be enough for Hardman to thrive in the NFL.Head coach Andy Reid said last week that Hardman is in the thick of figuring out the other things he needs to be a successful player.“We’re asking him to do a lot, and he’s staying up on it,” Reid said, via Nate Taylor of TheAthletic.com. “That’s the way you learn. There are certain things that are finesse and there’s certain things you have to roll on. He’s sorting all that and learning. Dee Ford and Breeland Speaks should both be in for high quality games against the Broncos struggling OTs making a easily frazzled Case Keenum even more shaky than normal.When the Chiefs have the ball, it really is up to Mahomes to be more comfortable with his pre-snap reads of the Broncos pressure and amoeba fronts. It’s not an easy task to put on a young QB, but he seemed generally perplexed, at times Travis Kelce Jersey , on who was coming and who was dropping in the first Denver game and the majority of success came far out of structure. The Chiefs can always win that way but getting back into more structure will help the consistency of the offense.
